12 Weeks of Christmas – A Calendar Gift Card Reminds Someone You Care All Year Long!

Calendars are a great gift for teachers, administrative assistants or anyone who spends a lot of time sitting at a desk or that friend who just never knows what day of the week it is.  It is also something they will use all year long which is my kind of gift!

I did a similar project last year and once again High Performance Marketing is printing these calendars for me.  They are $1 each or $0.80 if you order 25 or more. Postage is not included. If you live in the Raleigh, NC area you can pop by and pick them up.

Measurements: 

• Pacific Point: 8 1/5″ x 5 1/2″; 4 1/4″ x 3″ (stand)
• Share What You Love: 5 1/4” x 4”; 3 1/4” x 2 1/2”
• Shaded Spruce: 3 1/2” x 2 3/4”; 5 1/4” x 1/2”
• So Saffron: 3 1/4” x 2 1/2”
• Whisper White: 3” x 1 1/4”

Instructions:

1. Fold Pacific Point card stock in half and crease to create card base.
2. Adhere larger piece of Share What You Love paper to card base.
3. Adhere smaller piece of Share What You Love paper to Shaded Spruce layer and then to card front center.
4. Attach So Saffron layer to Shaded Spruce layer using Tear & Tape adhesive.
5. Using SNAIL, adhere strip of Shaded Spruce card stock across top front of card. Adhere calendar to So Saffron layer using Tear & Tape adhesive.
6. Ink phrase using Shaded Spruce ink and stamp onto scrap Whisper White card stock. Die-cut using frame thinlit from Merry Christmas thinlits. Adhere to card front on top of Shaded Spruce strip.
7. Die-cut Pacific Point flowers from Detailed Deer thinlits. Attach to phrase layer using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
8. Lay Pacific Point card stock layer (vertically) on Simply Scored. Score at 1/2”,1 1/2”, and 2 1/2”. Burnish using Bone Folder: smaller tabs in and center score out.
9.  Attach stand to inside of card at bottom, using Tear & Tape adhesive as in photo below; the smaller tabs attach to the card front and card back.

Measurements  

• Whisper White Thick  8 x 8
• Smoky Slate 6 ½ x 7
• Night of Navy 6 x 6 ½
• Whisper White Thick 1 piece  6 x 2/12 and 2 pieces 6 x 5
• Daffodil Delight scraps

Instructions

1. Cut all the cardstock.
2. Stamp the little snow flurries from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set onto the Night of Navy cardstock in White Craft Ink and set aside to dry.
3. Die cut the three pieces for the village.  The pieces are a bit longer than the edgelits, so you will need to snip them away from the excess cardstock.
4. Texture the village pieces using the Softly Falling TIEF.
5. Punch out circles from the Daffodil Delight cardstock then cut them into smaller pieces and attach them behind the house and church windows using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Don’t forget to use the Silicone Craft Mat to protect your work surface.
6. Starting with the top hill of the village layer the three pieces together using the Foam Adhesive Strips.  You may have extra Whisper White cardstock at the bottom depending on how close together you layer the pieces. If you do have extra at the bottom cut it then attach the village it to the Night of Navy cardstock using the Foam Adhesive Strips.
7. Layer the Smoky Slate piece onto the 8 x 8 Whisper White Thick piece using Foam Adhesive Strips.
8. Layer the Night of Navy piece onto the Smoky Slate cardstock using Foam Adhesive Strips.
9. Put your finished work of art into a frame and give to a friend or family member as a Christmas gift they will enjoy for years to come!

12 Weeks of Christmas – Catching Up with a Be Jolly Candy Cane Card!

Halloween is over and like you I am wondering where the time has gone and if I will ever get everything done on my to do list before the holidays.  Well, here is a cute little card that will make the holiday season a bit more jolly! It is cute, quick and just traditional enough to get everyone is a Merry Christmas mood.  Below are all the details for this 12 Week’s of Christmas card.

Cutting & Scoring: 

• Thick Whisper White Cardstock (“Card Base”) – 11” x 4 ¼”, score and fold at 5 ½”
• Whisper White Cardstock (“Card Front”) – 3 ½” x 5 ½”
• Whisper White Cardstock – ½” x 2”
• Real Red Regals 6×6 DSP – 5 ½” x 1”

Instructions:

1. Using Multipurpose Glue, adhere the Real Red Regals 6×6 DSP to the left edge of the Card Base.
2. Adhere the Whisper White Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals aligning the right edge of the Card Front to the right edge of the Card Base.
3. Stamp the Striped Candy Cane image from the Candy Cane Season Bundle using Real Red Classic Ink.
4. Next, stamp the bow outline with Real Red Classic Ink then stamp the solid bow image inside the outlined image with the Real Red.
5. Punch out the Candy Cane  and Bow with the Candy Cane Builder Punch.
6. Stamp the “Be Jolly” with Garden Green on the ½” x 2” strip and trim the ends at an angle.
7. Adhere the “Be Jolly” with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals overlapping the DSP and Card Front. HINT: Use 2 stacked Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals under the “Be” and one Mini Stampin’ Dimensional under the “Jolly.”
8. On the back of the Candy Cane, add a strip of Snail Adhesive then attach the Silver Metallic Thread. HINT: Wrap the Silver Metallic Thread loosely around 3 fingers, carefully remove, twist, adhere to back of Candy Cane where you’ve added the Snail Adhesive, and hold in place by adding a Stampin’ Dimensional over the Silver Metallic Thread.
9. Adhere the Candy Cane with Stampin’ Dimensionals in the bottom right corner of the Card Front.
10. Attach the Bow with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Candy Cane.
11. Use the Take Your Pick Tool to adhere the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
12. Enjoy

12 Weeks of Christmas – Winter Woods

Hi there!  If you have been waiting all week for the next Chrstmas Card sample for the 12 of Weeks of Christmas campaign I want to apologize.  I had a VERY exciting week starting with an emergency appendectomy last Sunday evening. I am recovering, but it has been a VERY slow process and you really don’t wait to see what I might have come up with for projects or posts while in terrible pain and/or on pain meds.  It might have been interesting, but it might also have been a disaster! So, better late than nver is this week’s sample using the Winter Woods stamp set.

Measurements  

• Very Vanilla Thick 4 ¼ x 11, score at 51/2
• Mossy Meadow 4 x 5 ½
• All is Bright DSP 4 x 4 1/4
• Very Vanilla 1 1/8 x 3
• Copper Trim 5 inches
• Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine (Cherry Cobbler) 9 inches

Instructions

1. Cut all cardstock, DSP, twine and trim.
2. Score and fold the Very Vanilla cardbase.
3. Spritz the piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock with waterd and run it through the Big Shot.  Set it aside to dry.
4. Starting off the left side edge of the All is Bright DSP stamp the trees from the Winter Woods stamp set twice in Early Espresso ink. Be sure to go off the right side edge as well.  Tear the bottom edge of the DSP and use a Sponge Dauber and Early Espresso
5. Stamp the greeting  on the Very Vanilla piece of cardstock in Early Espresso, then run it through the Shot using the squares from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Use the Magnetic Platform to hold everything in place.
6. Use a Sponge Dauber and Early Espresso ink to distress the Vanilla cardstock.
7. Attach the Mossy Meadow cardstock  to the Very Vanilla cardbase using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then attach the All Bright piece onto the Mossy Meadow one also using Stampin’ Dimesionals.
8. Pull the sides of Copper trim until you like it then attach with a little Tear & Tape on each end.
9. Fold the Cherry Cobbler Cotton Trim into thirds and attach to the back of the piece of Very Vanilla, stamped with the greeting) using Tear & Tape.  Cut the loops of the Cherry Cobbler Twine and then pull them apart to get the frayed look. Peal the backing off the Tear & Tape and attach it to your card.

As promised I am sharing the second card for the 12 Week’s of Christmss.  i am very excited becuase it uses the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle which I just got and have only had a few minutes to play with so far. I know you are going to love it!  Here are all the details for this card:

Instructions:

• Adhere the Whisper White card front layer to the Balmy Blue Card Front layer then adhere to the Whisper White Thick card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Die Cut the Snowflakes using the Blizzards Thinlits Die from the Shimmery White Cardstock.
• Adhere six Snowflakes with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to the card front.
• Ink up the Season’s Greetings sentiment with Night of Navy Ink then using your sponge dauber add Frost White Shimmer Paint to the stamp over the Night of Navy Ink. Stamp the banner. NOTE: You may want to stamp the sentiment on a large sheet of Balmy Blue then trim it down to size.
• Punch the ends of the banner with the Banner Triple Punch, attach Silver Metallic Thread to the back of the banner and adhere to the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Finish the card by adding the Clear Epoxy Droplets in the center of each snowflake.
• Enjoy

12 Weeks of Christmas – It’s Better Together!

Hello and welcome to my first 12 Weeks of Christmas post!  I am working with a very talented group of fellow demonstrators to share some fun ideas with you over the next twelve weeks to help inspire your Christmas cards, tags and bags and even give you some ideas for Christmas gift giving!  Not only will I be sharing a sample project with you, but will give you the full supply list, measurements and step by step insturctions for making each project! How awesome is that!

Please note that due to my crazy travel schedule we are already in week two of the twelve weeks, so come eback and visit Friday for a second card sample this week!

4. Attach Basic Black tree trunk under phrases using SNAIL adhesive.
5. Die-cut Christmas tree phrase using Layering Ovals framelits.
6. Attach Mossy Meadow strip to Basic Black strip and then to card front using SNAIL adhesive. Attach Christmas Tree oval using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
7. Add two white metallic star sequins using Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
