Get ready to make a fun project that is perfect for this season of gift giving or anytime you want to give a little something!

This event will be virtual only, via Zoom. Be sure to email me at tracie@stampwithtracie.com by 3:00pm on Wednesday, December 11th, so I can add you to the Zoom email list. You should receive the email with the link by 5:00pm. If you do not receive it by then, please text or email me and I will make sure you get it!

Please join me on the Zoom link starting at 6:45pm to chat or ask any questions you may have. We will begin promptly at 7:00pm. If you are joining via Facebook Live we will start by 7:05pm. Please remember to keep chatting to a minimum, unless you have a question about the project. We will have time to chat and ask any non-project questions after we finish.

Here is the scoop on how our Mystery Stamping Parties work. – You will need to gather your supplies and cut your cardstock before the party. There is a list of supplies (some are suggested, so don’t worry if you don’t have everything) and cardstock dimensions below.

During the party I will give you step-by-step directions to make your card along with some tips and tricks. We will NOT share anything about our projects until the very end.

PLEASE note that that I might practice a fancy fold to make sure I understand how it works, but I DO NOT create the full project until I do it with you. So, it is always a mystery how it will all turn out for me, just like it is for you!

It is always so much fun to see how everyone interprets the directions and with everyone using different stamps, cardstock, DSP, etc.., everyone’s card will be a one of a kind!

Please note that you CAN use anything you have in regards to stamp sets, punches, cardstock, DSP or embellishments. It can be retired if you have something you like and want to use.

Hint, if this is your first time joining us, you might consider prepping two sets of cardstock and DSP. We lovingly call this “Pulling an Allison.” This ensures that if something goes wrong or you decide you don’t like how something goes together you can easily fix it.

Here is a list of suggested tools and supplies you need to get together before the party:

A stamp set with coordinating punches or dies.
A sentiment stamp set if the stamp set you are using doesn’t have one or the one you want to use.
Ink pads that coordinate with your cardstock and DSP.
1/2″ or 3/4″ Circle Punch
Ribbon, trim and/or embellishments to add that final touch to your project.
A Paper Trimmer or Simply Scored
Embossing Folders if you like
Silicone Craft Mat
Bone Folder
Tear & Tape or a similar adhesive are a must, along with your favorite basic adhesive, Dimensionals, etc…

You will need the following sizes of cardstock. PLEASE cut these in advance.

Cardstock:

Coordinating color for your DSP 5 1/2″ x 11″ and 4 1/4″ x 3″
Neutral cardstock 2 @ 4″ x 2 1/2″

Designer Series Paper (DSP) These can be the same pattern or coordinating patterns:

4″ x 5 1/4″
2 1/2″ x 4″

NC Demos September 2024 Blog Hop – Hello, Pumpkin!

Fall is officially here and it is that time of year when the world goes crazy for all things pumpkin! Pumpkin spice, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin tea, pumpkin candles, and let’s not forget all the yummy baked goods! So, September seemed like the perfect time to embrace all things pumpkin, including our paper crafting projects with this month’s theme, Hello, Pumpkin!!

This means that ALL of our projects needed to include a pumpkin stamp, punch art, box, bag etc… OR we could create something that uses Stampin’ Up!’s fabulous Pumpkin Pie as the primary color! It’s all about the pumpkin!

If you are starting with me, don’t forget to hop all the way around to see what Frances Wagner is sharing. She is so creative and I know it will be great!

I have to admit something. While I am not a huge fan of all things pumpkin to eat or drink, I love to add pumpkins to my fall decor. I also love crafting projects with pumpkins, so when the Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamp set came out as an Online Exclusive I had to have it as I knew it would be perfect for some projects I have planned for the next couple of months.

The project I am sharing is a sample scrapbook page I have created for one of my sweet friends and customer, Susi. Together we create two scrapbooked calendars for two of her sisters each year. It is always a challenge to come up with something new after fifteen or so years, but I think Susi is going to love making this project.

Here are my basic measurements for the page:

1 piece of Copper Clay 12″ x 12″
1 piece of the woodgrain pattern from the Country Woods DSP 4″ x 12″
1 piece of the Pool Party pattern from the Country Woods DSP 6″ x 8″
1 piece of the Wood Textured Specialty Paper 3″ x 12″. Use this to die cut the three tags.
Scraps of Basic White for the Hello, Pumpkin title, to stamp and cut out the pumpkins for the bottom left tag and for the little Misty Moonlight house on the bottom right tag.
Scraps of Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Misty Moonlight and Mossy Meadow for die cutting layering and accent pieces.
Copper Clay Jute Trim 8″
Natural Polka Dot Trim 5″

While there are a lot of pieces and parts to this project, it isn’t terribly difficult. It just takes a little time. Here are a few tips to make it easier and fun:

Cut all your paper and cardstock as well as do the die cutting first. Cut some of the tags with scrap paper and practice stamping your scene, especially if you are like me and not a great two-step stamper.
Stamp the bottom of the Copper Clay cardstock with the grass and fence stamp.
Stamp the tags. I stamped and then fussy cut out the pumpkins for the bottom left tag and little Misty Moonlight house. Both are attached with Mini Dimensionals.
Add the ribbon and twine to the tags. Use a Bone Folder to soften up and curl the Natural Polka Dot Trim. Be very gentle when adding the ribbon. I used a Mini Glue to secure the Polka Dot Trim which made adding the Copper Clay Just Trim a LOT easier.
Once you have all the pieces ready, assemble the page using your favorite adhesives.

NC Demo August 2024 Blog Hop – Flower Power!

Good evening, and welcome to this month’s NC Demos Blog Hop! If you are starting here, don’t forget to hop all the way around and see my friend, Toni Campana’s project. I know it will inspire you!

This month our talented group of ladies are sending Summer off in style by featuring ALL the the amazing flower stamp sets we all have in our stash! We all say every year that we have enough flower stamp sets and definitely enough DSP, yet we can never resist buying just one more because it is SO beautiful! So, join us as we share some projects that have Flower Power!

I had to really thing about which projects to share as last weekend my friend Debbie and I hosted our East meets West Summer Fun Creativity Kit class that featured the Flowering Zinnias Suite Collection. I had so many things to choose from, but decided that this would be a great place to share the card that I made during our Mystery Stamping at the end of the day last Saturday. We did things a little different this time. We choose a template from page 22 of the Annual Catalog, then Debbie created a template with sizes and we both decided to use the Zinnias Suite. The twist on our Mystery Stamping is that we did it at the same time and had no idea what the other was going to create. We had a blast, made two great cards (I will show you mine tonight) and everyone on the private Facebook group enjoyed it so much they want us to do it this way again for our November 2nd event! Here is Debbie’s template and the original directions we posted to our group:

Supplies:

Card Base – 5 1/2″ x 8 , 1/2″ or 4 1/4″ x 11″
1st layer – 3″ x 4 1/4″ or any size you want
2 Circles – you could stamp on them, it could be DSP or a combination of both
1 Label
And of course, any ribbon or bling you would like to add

So, I did follow the guidelines, but couldn’t help stepping outside the box just a little as I wanted to stamp AND use the Flowering Zinnia DSP which I still love even after making SO many projects with it over the last couple of months!

Here is my final supply list along some basic directions for this simple, but fun card:

Melon Mambo Card Base – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″
1st layer – Flowering Zinnia DSP embossed with the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder
2nd Layer – Basic White 3″ x 4 1/4″
2 Circles – I stamped the large Zinnia image from the Simply Zinnia stamp set in Memento Black ink then use the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the two circles to create a Spotlighting technique. I used a combination of Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive Blends to color in the flowers and circles
1 Label – I used a scrap of Lemon Lime Twist stamped with Melon Mambo and tore the bottom edge.
I finished off my card with the Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins

NC Demos July 2024 Blog Hop – Off to the Beach

Hello, and welcome to this month’s NC Demos Blog Hop! We invite you to Come Cool Off this July with us as we share beachy projects that feature light and cool colors like the Soft Subtles or the 2024-2026 In Colors.

If you have already done so, hop all the way around and check out what my friend, Kelly Taranto, has to share. She is SO creative and I am always inspired by her!

In line with our theme, I decided to share one of the projects I created for the June East Meets West Creativity Kit Bonus class featuring the Under the Moon stamp set. This was such a fun virtual event that I co-hosted with my friend Debbie Danford. What better way is there to cool off at the end of a day at the beach than to enjoy a colorful sunset?!

Here are are the details so you can create your own In Color Sunset!

Stamp Sets/Dies

Under the Moon
Translucent Florals
Deckled Rectangles Dies

Inks:

Daffodil Delight
Early Espresso
Peach Pie
Pecan Pie
Petunia Pop
Pretty in Pink
Shy Shamrock
Summer Splash

Paper:

Basic White Thick 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”
Basic White 4” x 5 ¼” and scraps

Misc:

Daubers
Piercing Mat
Scrap paper or sticky note for masking
Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack

Directions:

Stamp the water image stamp from Under the Moon stamp set upside down in Shy Shamrock ink across the bottom of the Basic White cardstock.
Flip the stamp over and stamp above the Shy Shamrock layer in Summer Splash.
Next, ink up the moon and clouds image with Daffodil Delight ink and then add Peach Pie with a Dauber. Stamp this right above the water image.
Fill in the sky around the moon and clouds image using the Peach Pie ink then Pretty in Pink.
Fill in the top of the sky with Petunia Pop. You may want to stamp off for a lighter look.
Use a piece of scrap paper or sticky note to mask off the edge of the water. Next, Dauber Pecan Pie ink along the top edge of the mask. Do the same thing with Early Espresso ink.
Now brush the Dauber with Early Espresso ink in a straight line across the top of the mask. Remove the mask.
Stamp the sentiment from Translucent Florals in Summer Splash onto the Basic White scrap of cardstock. Rip the ends and add Summer Splash ink using Direct to Paper.
Add Baker’s Twine to the back of the sentiment using Tear & Tape.
Use washi tape to secure two of the Deckled Rectangles Dies to each other and the stamped cardstock. Die cute the layers for the card.
Glue the largest die cut rectangle frame to the front of the cardbase and the smaller frame to the inside of the card.
Use Dimensionals to attach solid stamped image to the front of the cardbase.
Attach the sentiment piece to the card with Mini Dimensionals.
Finish the card by adding some sparkle with Wink of Stella.

Now you just have to decide to whom you will send your sunset masterpiece!

NC Demos May 2024 Blog Hop – Coloring Inside the Lines!

Good evening and welcome to the NC Demos May Blog Hop! We are SO glad you are here! If you have’t already done so be sure to hop all the way around and see Martinette Horner’s post. She is so creative and does wonderful work! You don’t want to miss it!

We are ALL so excited about the new 2024-2026 In Colors, so this month’s theme is Color in the Lines. We were suppose to use them and a favorite coloring technique. Since I am featuring Pretty in Pink as the Color of the Month for my In Color Club, I decide this was a great chance it feature one of my favorite colors of all time with the Magnolia Mood Bundle. If you have followed me for any time at all you know magnolias are one of my favorite flowers and these products go together so nicely.

I do want to share that this card was inspired by my friend and customer, Judith. She popped by last week to catch up on a some card kits. I handed her what I thought was the correct flower stamp, but handed her the large magnolia stamp instead which she stamped with Pretty Peacock ink. We had a giggle and she die cut it out to take home and play with after I got her the correct stamp set. Anyway, she made a lovely card and while I couldn’t use the embossing folder she used since it is retired, I thought die cutting the detailed magnolia die in Basic White and layering it onto Basic White layer was a great solution!

This really is a simple stamping card. I stamped the magnolia with Memento ink then colored using the Pretty in Pink, Pecan Pie and Old Olive Blends. This is such a easy way to color any project with fabulous results every time.

I finished off my card with the In Color Shimmer Gems and got a little over enthusiastic with the Wink of Stella, but I guess you can never have enough sparkle!

Here are the basic measurements in case you want to make this card yourself:

Pretty in Pink 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4
Basic White 3 3/4 x 5 for layering and a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 for stamping and die cutting.

NC Demos April 2024 Blog Hop – Let’s Go Online!

Good evening and welcome to the NC Demos April Blog Hop! We are SO glad you are here!

For April we are taking the Blog Hop online! Our challenge was to feature products from the Online Exclusives. There are SO many new and carryover products to be found! Magnolias are one of my favorite flowers and the Magnolia Mood Bundle was a must have for me! I thought about a lot of ways to use it, but after attending the NC Demos Quarterly Meeting in New Bern earlier this month, I knew exactly what to do! We made this darling fun fold card that I thought was so sweet and was perfect to show off the lovely magnolia stamps and dies. I love have this bundle paired so nicely with things carryover products like the Gold Foil Sheets, Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems and the Deckled Circles Dies (also an Online Exclusive) as well as new items from the 204-2025 Annual Catalog like the Country Lace DSP, the Petal Pink & White 1/4 Diagonal Trim Combo Pack and my new favorite color, Basic Beige!

Here are all the measurements and details so you can make your own version of this card. Once you cut and die cut all the pieces it goes together very quickly!

Basic White Thick 5 x 5 1/2 and scored at 2 1/2
Basic White scraps for stamping and die cutting
Country Lace DSP 2 1/4 x 5 1/4
Gold Foil Sheets 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
Petal Pink Ribbon 5 inches

After cutting and die cutting my cardstock and DSP, I used Blending Brushes with Petal Pink and Basic Beige ink to color the magnolias and leaves. I stamp the Happy Birthday in Petal ink and then tore the edges and added a little more ink to the edges, again using a Blending Brush.

Next, I deconstructed the Petal Pink Ribbon. I am obsessed with this! I love taking the ribbon and turning into fibers that can be used in such fun and unique ways! Note, that is is always easier to pull the threads apart form one end. Who know why? So, don’t get frustrated if the fibers don’t come apart immediately. Just try doing it from the other end.

After deconstructing the ribbon, I added it to the back of the Happy Birthday piece using Tear & Tape.

Now that all the pieces were created, I assembled the card. The DSP is attached with Multipurpose Glue. Next, I added the Gold Foil Circle using Tear & Tape. The magnolia pieces were attached next with Mini Dimensionals, followed by the Happy Birthday. I finished off the card by add the Petal Pink Gold Foiled Gems.

Did I mention that this card will be a part of my Fun & Fancy Card Camp in May? Well, it will! I can’t want to make it along with other Magnolia Mood samples with my stamping friends!
