Good evening and welcome to our NC Demos Blog Hop!  We are so glad you are here!

Our core team of bloggers had the rare treat of being all in one place at the same time during Stampin’ Up!’ OnStage in March. And while Jo Anne had to leave us early due to the impending storm, we did get a group photo with everyone else. This picture inspired our April Blog Hop theme, It’s Hip to be Square!

So (queue one of my favorite Huey Lewis songs!) our April challenge is to create projects that feature squares! Square layouts, square dies, square stamps, ANYTHING square! Because it really is Hip to be Square!

Be sure to be totally hip and hop all the way back around to see what my friend, Laure Meier sharing tonight!  While her project may be square she is always hip and creative!

The card I am sharing tonight features squares as part of the layout and card layers.  This fun layout was part of a virtual team meeting I attending this month that included three Mystery Stamping cards.  This one was by fellow demo, Rita Allen Noel.  I loved the simple layout with the option of adding lots of layers, dies and embellishments!

The Friends of the Ocean Suite was on my worktable when I started prepping for the team meeting along with some die cut pieces that needed to be used, so I decided to use them as I really love the entire suite and will be sad when it is no longer available.  If you love it as much as I do, it is on the Last Chance List.  Get yours while you can!

Here are the measurements if you want to create your own hip and square layout!

  • Basic White Thick 5 ½” x 8 ½”
  • Friends of the Ocean DSP 2 @ 2” x 2”
  • Berry Burst 5 ¼” x  4” and 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”
  • Basic White 5” x 3 ¾” and 2 ½” x  2 ½”
  • Lemon Lime Twist ¾” x 2 ¾”

Once you do the cutting, die cutting and embossing, this card goes together REALLY quick!  If you would like to make some of these adorable cards of your own, please let me know!  It is available as a Card Kit To Go!  The kit includes EVERYTHING you need to make 4 cards for $15, except the stamped sentiment, per Stampin’ Up! copyright rules. Postage is included.  Porch Pickup is also available!  Kits are available while supplies last.

That is all I have to share tonight, but I hope you will hop along with with me to see the square our friend, Frances Wagner is sharing!  I know it will be totally hip!

Thank you again for letting me share my project.  Just let me know if you have questions, want to order any of the products sharing tonight.  I would love to help you!

Stay Safe & Crafty!
