Hello and welcome to our NC Demos July Blog Hop. We are SO glad you are here!
If you haven’t already done so, please be sure to hop all the way around and see the fabulous ideas my friend, Toni Campana is sharing this month. She is SO creative!
This month we were challenged to take something we would normally throw away and use it on our project! We could use items like bubble wrap, cardboard, etc..to help create a background or create our own embellishments using aluminum cans, packaging, bottle tops, etc…Our project can be anything! The only rule is that we had to upcycle something when creating it!
So, my project was all about using packaging! I used a cover from a wine bottle, an avocado bag(I can’t find the pic of the bag, but it is like the red onion one, only green) and a piece of acetate from our Stampin’ Up! photopolymer stamps! There was just too much going on to write directions for this one, so I made this little video with all the details. Click here to see it now!
This project was a little messy, but SO much fun!
Here are the basic measurements for the card and the complete supply list can be found at the bottom of this post.
- Basic Beige 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic Blac 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
- Basic White scrap for stamping the flower and sentiment
If you have questions or would like to add any of the fabulous products I used please let me know. I would love to help you!
I am all done for now, but I hope you will hop along with me over to see what Laurie Meier has to share. She is so creative and always inspires me!

This is a super fun card, Tracie. Not only one upcycle material, but three! I love how you used the acetate to cover the stamped flower. I’m definitely going to give that a try.
