Since we are nearing the end of our Stampin’ Up! July to December Mini Catty, this month our group is  giving it one last moment in the spotlight.  Our challenge was to choose a stamp set or bundle from the mini catty, it can be ANY holiday. The twist is that we could not make a project specific to that holiday. So an example might be to use a Christmas set to create a birthday card. Maybe one of lovely Fall sets would make a fantastic wedding card.

I love the idea that you can use a stamp set year round.  It is a big part of how I decide which sets to purchase.  The Thinking Thanks & Peace stamp set is one of my favorites in a long time.  It is so versatile and I love the fonts.  The card I am sharing is one I created for my Terrific Techies hostess club in November.  I love that it is bright and cheerful and uses some of my favorite items from both the mini and annual catalogs.

The secret to this card is that the shiny white layer is actually the backing from a piece of our Linen Specialty Paper which is self adhesive.  After embossing the Linen Paper and peeling away this backing I couldn’t bear to throw it away as it was so pretty, so it became the start of my card.  I also love the Gingham Ribbon and of course the Mesh Ribbon is an all time favorite!  Here are the dimensions if you would like to create this card yourself:

• Polished Pink 4 1/2 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2.  Also a scrap to die cut with the Rectangle Stitched Dies.
• Linen Specialty Paper 4 x 5 1/4.  Use the Linen on another project!
• Gingham Ribbon 8 inches
• Mesh Ribbon 3 inches

I used Memento Black Ink to stamp the greeting and finished off the project with  two Rhinestones because every project needs a little sparkle!

Are You Ready to Make Countless Christmas Cards at the Stamp Pad or To Go?

This first card was one I made during Mystery Stamping last week and loved it so much I had to offer it as a choice for this year’s Countless Christmas Cards!

This second card is also make with the Peace on Earth stamp from Thinking Thanks & Peace and was cased from my own card from a recent team challenge.

Your own adhesive is a MUST. This includes SNAIL, glue dots and Dimensionals. If you need any of these supplies, please let me know when you register. I will order them and have them ready for you. All other supplies will be provided.

This is such a fun and simple card to make and I think it would be fantastic in any color combo and using any ribbon.  I love the Thinking of You stamp from Thinking Thanks & Peace from the July to December Mini Catalog, but any large greeting stamp would look and work great!  I think this would be an awesome birthday card!

I simply stamped the circle image from Textures and frames first in Mango Melody, then in Calypso Coral and finally in Magenta Madness on a 3 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock.

I then used my Stamparatus to stamp the Thinking of You greeting in Memento Black Ink.

Next, I cut and tied an 11 inch piece of the Basic Black & White Gingham Ribbon around my Basic White cardstock and then used Black Dimensionals to adhere it to a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece of Basic Black Cardstock.

I decided a add a little texture to the 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Magenta Madness cardstock.  I meant to use the current Tasteful Textures 3D EF, but accidentally grabbed the retired Subtle 3D EF instead.  My customers will be using the correct folder on Wednesday!  LOL but you can use whatever you like! =-)

The last step was to adhere the stamped image to my cardbase again using the Black Dimensionals.

It probably took me longer to write this post than to make this card.  I think it would be great for all sorts of occasions simply by changing the colors and greeting.

• Tidings of Christmas DSP 2 pieces 1 x 5 and 1 piece 1/2 x 5
• Scraps of the Kraft and Soft Succulent for the Stars
• Simply Elegant Twine 8 inches
• Diamond Weave Ribbon 2 inches

This card is actually pretty simple.  As with most projects I started by cutting my cardstock and DSP.  Next, I embossed my cardbase, did my die cutting then finished up with my stamping and punching.

I attached the strips of DSP using Multipurpose Glue.  The sprigs are attached to the back of the Soft Succulent star with a touch of Multipurpose Glue as well.  The ribbon and twine are attached between the two stars with Tear & Tape.  Both the star and Merry Christmas greeting are attached with Dimensionals.
