the matching tag from WCMD.  As you may or may not know, pink is my favorite color.  I love to wear it and even have it as part of the color scheme in my dressing room.  So, when I saw this card in the 2022 July to December Mini Catalog I had to case it!

• Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder
• Banners Pick A Punch
• Stamparatus
• Ink: Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and White Craft Ink

Measurements:

• Melon Mambo 8 1/2 x 11, scored at 4 1/4
• Melon Mambo 4 x 5 1/4
• Basic White 3 x 3
• Granny Apple Green 3/4 x 3
• Shaded Spruce 1 x 3
• Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon 5 inches

1. Use the Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder and emboss the 4 x 5 1/4 Melon Mambo cardstock.  Then use the Direct to Paper Technique to apply White Craft Ink over the embossed cardstock.  Set aside to dry.
2. Use the Stamparatus and the Template Technique to stamp the Christmas tree onto the Basic White circle in Granny Apple Green ink.
3. Stamp the Christmas balls by hand in Melon Mambo onto the Christmas tree.
4. Use the Stamparatus to stamp the “so very merry” greeting in Melon Mambo ink onto the Granny Apple Green cardstock.
5. Fray the ends of the Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon on both ends. Leave a little unfrayed so you have enough to attach the ribbon to the banner.  Set aside.
6. Use the Banners Pick a Punch on the Granny Apple Green & Shaded Spruce cardstock to create the banner tag.
7. Attach the Seam Binding Ribbon to the back of the Granny Apple Green banner using Dimensionals. Then attach the Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce pieces together using Dimensionals.
8. Adhere the Melon Mambo embossed layer to the Melon Mambo cardbase using Multipurpose Glue.
9. Add the circle with the Christmas tree to the Melon Mambo layer using Dimensionals.
10. Finish the card by attaching the banner with Dimensionals.

Christmas Greetings Tag

Supplies:

• Ink: Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and White Craft Ink

Measurements:

• Melon Mambo 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
• Melon Mambo 3 1/4 x 4 1/2
• Basic White 3 x 3
• Parakeet Party 3/4 x 3 1/2
• Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon 10 inches
• 3 Opal Rounds

1. Use the Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder and emboss the 3 1/4 x 4 1/2
2. Melon Mambo cardstock. Then use the Direct to Paper Technique to apply White Craft Ink over the embossed cardstock.  Set aside to dry.
3. Use the Stamparatus and the Template Technique to stamp the Christmas tree onto the Basic White circle in Granny Apple Green ink.
4. Stamp the Christmas balls by hand in Melon Mambo onto the Christmas tree.

7. Once the White Craft Ink is dry, line up the two pieces of Melon Mambo cardstock and punch the hole for the ribbon. Then adhere the two layers using Dimensionals.
8. Add the Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon to the tag.
9. Add the circle with the Christmas tree to the Melon Mambo layer using Dimensionals.
10. Attach the banner with Dimensionals.
11. Complete the tag by adding 3 Opal Rounds.

We had such a wonderful day stamping and socializing with our team, the Stamp Pad Society, our friends and customers that I wanted to take the time to share with you.  So, over the next few weeks I will be sharing some of the fun pictures from our event taken by our own Megan “Paparazzi” Mears the day of the event.

I will also share the cards and tags that were part of the kits that day.  I am starting with Christmas as I know that is what many of you are planning and creating right now.  We will start with Peace at Christmas.  This was a card I created in conjunction with my friend and team member, Linda Clough.  This card gave us both fits as we worked toward the perfect blend of stamping and getting the greeting piece just right.  In the end it was a fan favorite of those attending our World Card Making Day event.  I hope you enjoy it, too!

Peace at Christmas Card

Supplies:

• Leaves of Holly & Christmas Season stamp sets
• Fern Embossing Folder
• Ink: Crumb Cake, Evening Evergreen, Merry Merlot, Real Red, Soft Succulent, and Soft Suede

Measurements:

• Evening Evergreen 8 ½ x 5 ½ and score at 4 ¼
• Evening Evergreen 1 1/4 x 1 1/4
• Real Red 4 x 5 1/2
• Basic White 3 3/4 x 5
• Basic White 1 x 1
• Mini Ruffled Ribbon 6 inches

1. Randomly stamp the inside of the leaves using smaller leaf from Leaves of Holly in Soft Succulent onto the piece of Basic White cardstock. Stamp the outside of the leaves in Evening Evergreen.
2. Randomly stamp the insides of the smaller pinecones from Christmas Season in Crumb Cake. Stamp the outside of the pinecones in Soft Suede.
3. Randomly stamp the inside of the berries from Leaves of Holly in Real Red. Stamp the outside/highlight of the berries in Merry Merlot.
4. Emboss the stamped piece of Basic White cardstock using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.
5. Stamp the Peace from Leaves of Holly in Real Red onto the 1 x 1 piece of Basic White cardstock.
6. Make a loop out of the Red Ruffled Ribbon and attach the back of the 1 x 1 Basic White square. Attach this piece to the 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 piece of Evening Evergreen using Dimensionals.
7. Attach the Real Red layer to the Evening Evergreen cardbase using Multipurpose Glue.
8. Adhere the stamped piece of Basic White to the Real Red piece with Multipurpose Glue.
9. Finally, add the little tag to the card using Dimensionals.

We were supposed to create a project that uses something a normal person, translation non-crafter, would toss out and never think about it!  I love this idea SO much!  One of the things that I always seem to find all over my studio, house and sometimes in my laundry are the backing pieces off of Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals, so I had to start saving them and use them for this project!  I knew I wanted to make a shaker card, and what better thing to use as snow in a shaker card than these little white pieces!  I did have one issue when I started to make my card.  I was totally out of Window Sheets, it was late and I was leaving town the next day so couldn’t call one of my delightful downline to borrow some.  But I didn’t panic as I had also been saving the acetate pieces that come with with our Photopolymer stamps, so I dug one out of my stash and started stamping!

The dimensions for this card are as follows:

• Smoky Slate cardbase 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4 and  a scrap that is 3 1/2 x 2 for your greeting
• Balmy Blue 4 x 5 1/4
• Fresh Freesia 4 x 5 1/4
• Window Sheet or a piece for your Photopolymer stamps 4 x 5 1/4
• Metallic Mesh Ribbon 3 inches

Now to get busy!

1. Cut your cardstock and then die cut your Fresh Freesia piece, the stitched rectangle for your greeting and the snowflakes.
2. Stamp your greeting in Basic Gray onto the Smoky Slate stitched rectangle.
3. Attach the Window Sheet to the back side of the Fresh Freesia cardstock with Tear & Tape.
4. Attach the Foam Strips onto the Window Sheet around the outside edge of the die cut area.
5. Now for the fun!  Add your Dimensionals backs and Sequins.  Gently peel away the protective backing from the Foam Strips and attach the piece of Balm Blue cardstock.
6. Adhere the shaker piece to the Smoky Slate cardbase using Multipurpose  Glue.
7. Use Tear & Tape to attach the Metallic Mesh Ribbon to the Fresh Freesia cardstock.
8. Attach your greeting using Dimensionals.
9. Attach the vellum snowflakes using Glue Dots and finish up by adding your Rhinestones.

This card is actually pretty simple.  As with most projects I started by cutting my cardstock and DSP.  Next, I embossed my cardbase, did my die cutting then finished up with my stamping and punching.

I attached the strips of DSP using Multipurpose Glue.  The sprigs are attached to the back of the Soft Succulent star with a touch of Multipurpose Glue as well.  The ribbon and twine are attached between the two stars with Tear & Tape.  Both the star and Merry Christmas greeting are attached with Dimensionals.

The measurements for the Dove of Hope Card are as follows:

• Pretty Peacock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
• Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4
• Whisper White Thick for the dove
• Silver Foil Sheet for sprig

Directions:

1. Stamp the background on the Whisper White cardstock in Memento Ink using the Stamparatus.
2. Use the sponges to apply ink to the Whisper White cardstock in Night of Navy, Old Olive and Pretty Peacock.
3. Attach the Whisper White Cardstock to the Pretty Peacock cardbase using Dimensionals.
4. Build your dove using Dimensionals and attach to your cardbase.
5. Attach the Silver Foil spring using a Glue Dot.

The measurements for the mini easel are:

• Misty Moonlight 4 x 4 3/4
• Shimmery White 3 3/4 x 4 1/2
• Whisper White Thick 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 for the Dove
• Balmy Blue 3 x 3
• Mesh Ribbon 4 inches.

I created the mini easel in much the same way as my card.  Instead of stamping in Tuxedo Black Memento I first stamped in VersaMark, then used White Embossing powder which I heat set.  I then used sponges to add first Balmy Blue and then Misty Moonlight ink.  I then gently wiped away the excess ink with a tissue to create the resist technique.

My ornament was created with basic stamping and die cutting.  I then put it all together using Tear & Tape, Glue Dots and Dimensionals to attach the dove.  I used Blends to color the dove’s beak, the little branch and the gems on the crown.

This year’s event will have a twist!  As we are all still social distancing, I will be limiting to groups of four with four sessions.  You will come and stamp and punch all your card pieces then take them to go and put them together at home.  Of course you will receive an instruction book complete with pictures of the finished cards!
