Can you believe it is already the LAST of September and that our August to September Sale-A-Bration ends Thursday??? Where did the time go? I don’t feel like I even got to use and share all my SAB goodies with my friends, customers and team. I love the Textures & Frames stamp set and when I saw a fantastic card using it on a fellow demo’s blog as I was having my coffee this morning and decided it was a must case for my Coffee & Cards event this week.
This is such a fun and simple card to make and I think it would be fantastic in any color combo and using any ribbon. I love the Thinking of You stamp from Thinking Thanks & Peace from the July to December Mini Catalog, but any large greeting stamp would look and work great! I think this would be an awesome birthday card!
I simply stamped the circle image from Textures and frames first in Mango Melody, then in Calypso Coral and finally in Magenta Madness on a 3 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock.
I then used my Stamparatus to stamp the Thinking of You greeting in Memento Black Ink.
Next, I cut and tied an 11 inch piece of the Basic Black & White Gingham Ribbon around my Basic White cardstock and then used Black Dimensionals to adhere it to a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece of Basic Black Cardstock.
I decided a add a little texture to the 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Magenta Madness cardstock. I meant to use the current Tasteful Textures 3D EF, but accidentally grabbed the retired Subtle 3D EF instead. My customers will be using the correct folder on Wednesday! LOL but you can use whatever you like! =-)
The last step was to adhere the stamped image to my cardbase again using the Black Dimensionals.
It probably took me longer to write this post than to make this card. I think it would be great for all sorts of occasions simply by changing the colors and greeting.
