Good evening and thank you for joining us for this month’s blog hop.  If you didn’t stop by to see Kelly Taranto’s project be sure to hop all the way around.  She is SO talented and always makes something great!
Our November theme is I’ll Have a Pink Christmas!  Why did we pick this theme you might ask?  Well, we this year has seen us, as demonstrators and our stamping friends, increasing having to think outside the box due to out of stock items and slow delivery dates for our orders. So, to avoid us all feeling blue this holiday season, we decided to do something non-traditional and think pink instead of blue, white, red or green this year!
We could useuse other colors, but our main color HAD to be pink. We get extra credit if we used a non-Christmas stamp set, dies, etc.. AND if our whole project is shades of pink!
As you may know, pink is my favorite color, I think it goes with everything!  I wear it, decorate with it and definitely craft with it!  My problem this month was too many ideas and not enough time!  So, I did a pretty simple card, that still looks fancy which is my favorite kind of project!
Before we get started I want to say that I did case this card from page 63 of the Stampin’ Up! September to December Mini Catalog.
Here are the measurements if you want to create this card yourself our use it to start your own fabulous project:
  • Bubble Bath 8 1/2 x 11, scored at 4 1/4 and 4 x 4
  • Melon Mambo 4 x 5  1/4
  • Vellum Basic Specialty Paper 4 x 4
  • I also used scraps of Bubble Bath, Melon Mambo and Distress Gold Specialty Paper
  • Glittered Organdy Ribbon 16 inches
This really is a simple card to make.
  1. First, I stamped the ornaments twice on Bubble Bath cardstock, once in VersaMark (and then embossed in gold) and once in Melon Mambo.  I die cut my circle with the Deckled Circles Dies and fussy cut the ornaments.
  2. I then punched out the gold and pink pieces using the Boughs Punch.
  3. I then assembled the card attaching everything with a combination of Tear & Tape and Dimensionals.
Thank you for joining us and thinking pink for Christmas!  I hope I have inspired you to not get frustrated this holiday season with the little things, but to think outside the box and enjoy this amazing season!
I hope you will join me as we hop on over to see Tina Lesson’s awesome project.
Please let me know if you have questions or would like to order any of the products I have shared with you tonight.
Stay Safe & Crafty!

Love the card, Tracie. There are lots of shiny,
pretty elements. And thanks for pushing us outside our comfort zones! I wouldn’t have reached for pink for a Christmas card if it hadn’t been for this challenge. And I have to say it went easier than I thought it would, lol!
