Hello and welcome to the last NC Demo Blog Hop of 2024!  If you haven’t already done so, be sure to stop by to see what my friend, Laurie Meier created this month.  I know you will love it!
Speaking of love, our December theme is “A Little Love.” Love can mean SO many things when it come to crafting, so our theme is VERY open to interpterion and could be any of the following!
A Valentine’s Day project, it will be here before we know it!
A favorite technique.
A favorite stamp set, bundle or other product.
A project using our favorite color combo!
There is no wrong choice! We just needed to share something that we love!
One of my first loves as a crafter was vintage projects.  I love taking a piece of cardstock or DSP giving it some texture by crumpling it, doing Direct to Paper or some kind of embossing.  I also love any kind of a resist technique as well as punches, embossing folders, metallic specialty paper and ink as well as using twine or ribbon without making a bow.  Well, this card has it all!
I created this card for my East meets West Stamping Bingo virtual party with my friend and fellow demo, Debbie Danford, yesterday.  Oh, I mention that I also LOVE a simple project that has a LOT going on!  Well, I do!
  • I started this project by embossing a piece of DSP from from the Toadstool Gardens DSP which you can get for FREE with your Sale-A-Bration qualifying order starting on January 7th! I added a little Copper Metallic Enamel Effects for a little shine and that extra little bit of texture.
  • I then added ink using Blending Brushes and daubers.
  • I used the Bough Punch (a definite MUST have!) and a piece of the Oxidized Copper Specialty Paper to create the leaves.
  • One of my favorite parts of this project is the sentiment tag.  I used the Modern Oval Punch with Early Espresso cardstock and the Faux Suede technique along with a little 2023-2025 In Color Twine to finish off the vintage look of this card.  If you haven’t ever done Faux Suede, click here for a video tutorial from a previous post to see how fun and easy this technique is!
Thank you for letting me share some of the things I love about stamping.  I hope I have inspired you to try out some of the things I love about this card.  Who knows, you might find something you love!
That is all I have for now, but I am going to hop over to see what our friend, Tina Lesson is sharing.  I know it will be lovely!
Stay Safe & Crafty in the New Year!
