Welcome to the NC Demos March Blog Hop! Be sure to hop all the way around!  You don’t want to miss my friend, Laurie Meier’s project!  I know it is awesome as always!

So, winter may finally be over (thank goodness!) but tonight you need to get ready to Bundle Up while you enjoy some fabulous and inspiring projects!! This month our challenge is to share ANY KIND of project featuring our favorite bundle from the new Online Exclusives!  Don’t forget that you ALWAYS SAVE 10% when you purchase a bundle!  Who doesn’t love getting awesome product at a savings!

The Textures Notes Bundle (along with ALL of the lovely DSP and accessories in the Botanical Textures Suite) has definitely inspired me!  I have made five cards using it this weekend and I had a hard time deciding which one to share here.  But I decide to share something a little different. This mini easel card was inspired by a card my friend and team member, Allison, gave me as part of a card swap,. I also, wanted to use some of the supplies I still had strewn about after making my swaps for our Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in March.  So, it is with Allison’s original card, a Petal Pink cardbase and my new favorite DSP that my little card began.

Here are the measurements for this Mini Easel Card:

  • Petal Pink 4 ¼” x 8 ½”, and a scrap piece
  • Gray Granite 3” x 4”
  • Basic White 4” x 4” and a scrap
  • Woven Textures DSP 4” x 4” and 2” x 3”

I don’t always write out all the directions, but I decide it might be helpful for this card.  If you have questions, please feel free to contact me.  I would love to help you!

  1. Die cut the piece of Gray Granite and a piece of the Woven Textures DSP using the Textured Notes Dies.
  2. Stamp the two basket images from Textured Notes onto the Gray Granite cardstock in Gray Granite. Stamp the large leaf in Pebble Path.
  3. Stamp the “You are seriously the best” sentiment in Pebble Path onto a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock.
  4. Stamp the round basket pattern onto a piece of Basic White cardstock in Petal Pink and the thank you in Pebble Path. Punch or die cut out with a 1 ¾” circle. Create a layering piece of Petal Pink cardstock with a 2” circle.  Attach these pieces together with Multipurpose Glue
  5. Score the Petal Pink cardbase 4 ¼” and then score the front of the cardbase on the diagonal from the top outside corner.
  6. r to the bottom inside corner. You can also think of it as from the top right corner to the bottom left corner.  Don’t worry if you do it backwards.  Your card will still work!
  7. Cut the Woven Textures DSP in half on the diagonal the same way you scored the cardbase and attach to the front of the cardbase with Multipurpose Glue.
  8. Attach the stamped Gray Granite piece to the cardfront with Tear & Tape. Be sure the adhesive is only on the bottom right corner of the cardfront.  Otherwise, your easel will not work.
  9. Add ribbon to the back of the Petal Pink sentiment piece and attach this to the cardfront with Mini Dimensionals.
  10. Attach the Basic White layer to the inside of the cardbase using Multipurpose Glue then add the small Woven Textures die cut piece. and then the “thank you” circle piece with Dimensionals.
  11. Add pearls to the cardfront.
  12. Use a Bone Folder to burnish the card folds.

Thank you for letting me share my little card and using my favorite bundle from the Online Exclusives with you.  I hope I have inspired you to try something new like this awesome, but very different bundle!  If you love this bundle as much as I do, pop back over to my blog later this week  to see more of the cards I have created and find out out to get the awesome kits to make them yourself!

I am all done sharing for the evening, but I hope you will hop along with me over to see the fabulous project that our friend, Frances Wagner is sharing this month!

I really love this fold and haven’t used it in a while. Thanks for reminding me about it, Tracie. And of course, I love the bundle you used. I think this is the second month in a row we’ve chosen the same sets, lol!
