Good evening and welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop!  We are SO glad you are here!  If you are starting with my post, don’t forget to hop all the way around and see what Jo Anne Hewins made this month.  She always creates something fantastic!

Sale-A-Bration is almost over so, we are taking the opportunity to celebrate it one last time with this month Blog Hop!   Our project could be anything, but MUST feature a SAB product from the brochure OR from the More to Sale-A-Brate offerings!

I decided to share a card that I cased from the Stampin’ Up! Facebook page using the Detailed Dogwood stamp set.  I loved the colors and vintage feel of this card and it was a great project to make last Saturday while I enjoyed a Team Play Day with the lovely ladies from the Stamp Pad Society.

Here are my measurements and a few hints if you want to make this card at home.

  • Crumb Cake 5 1/5 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4
  • Basic White 4 x 5 1/4
  • Highland Heather 3 3/4 x 5
  • Very Vanilla 3 3/4 x 5
  • Scraps of Basic White, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Highland Heather, Petal Pink and Vellum for die cutting, punches and the sentiment.

First, I cut the cardbase, all the layers and did the all the die cutting for the card.

Next, I stamped images from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set in Crumb Cake ink onto the Very Vanilla cardstock.  I then used Paper Snips to rough up the edges of the cardstock and used a Blending Brush and the Direct to Paper Technique to add more Crumb Cake ink.

I stamped the thinking of you sentiment in Memento and set it aside to dry.  I then stamped the little tag, fussy cut it and added the Faux Leather trim.

I stamped the flowers in Highland Heather and Petal Pink then used a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker to fill in the center.  I used the Petal Park Builder Punch to punch out the flowers.

I did improvise a bit since I didn’t want to fussy cut all the leaves and the dogwood branch and used the Bough Punch to create my greenery and give the card a bit more texture.

Next I layered the Basic White, Highland Heather and Very Vanilla pieces onto the Crumb Cake cardbase. I then layered the Stylish Shapes die cut pieces, then the Garden Green leaves and the flowers to the card.

I finished off the card by adding the little tag and Vellum sentiment.

Thank you for letting me share my last Sale-A-Bration project with you.  If would like to add any of the products I showed you to your collection AND earn the Detailed Dogwood stamp set for FREE contact me by Thursday, February 29th!

Now, if you haven’t already done so, check out Laurie Meier’s project for this month.  I am sure you will be inspired as she always makes something fabulous!
