Good evening and welcome to our NC Demos January Blog Hop!  We are SO glad you are here!  If you didn’t already visit Jo Anne Hewins’ page be sure to hop all the way around to see what she is sharing.  I know it will be amazing as always!

Our January theme is There is Always an Occasion to Sale-A-Brate!

Our challenge was to use a combination of January to April Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration products to celebrate any occasion.  I decided to share this quick and easy birthday card that I made as an extra sample for my Stamping Bingo virtual party in December.  It features the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder from the mini catty and the Toadstool Gardens DSP from SAB.   I love the bright colors and how easy this card is to make!  Below is the list of measurements and a few assembly tips for the card and you can find all the products with links at the bottom of my post.  If you have questions or need help ordering all the supplies to make this card, please contact me.  I would love to help!

Sale-A-Brating A Birthday Card!

  • Fresh Freesia 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and a scrap
  • Basic White 2@ 4″ x 5 1/4″ and a scrap.  One piece is for the card front (Emboss with the  Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder) and one is for the inside of the card.  Don’t forget to decorate it!
  • Crushed Curry scrap for the candle flames.  Use the Bough Punch and cut the leaves apart to make the flames.  Attach with Mini Dimensionals.
  • Toadstool Gardens DSP 4 @ 1″ x 6″. Attach them to the Basic White cardfront at varying heights then trim the excess DSP from the bottom.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set onto a piece of Basic White cardstock in Fresh Freesia ink.  Use circle dies or punches to cut out the sentiment as well as the Fresh Freesia layer.  Attach the Iridescent Striped Trim between the two layers using Tear & Tape.
  • Finish off the card by adding some birthday sparkle and bling with the Iridescent Faceted Gems.

Thank you so much for letting me share my birthday card with you and for hopping along with us today!  I am all done for now, but let’s hop over to see what my friend, Toni Campana, has created.  I know it will be inspiring!

So long for now!

Wow, what a great card, Tracie! This will be so easy to coordinate any DSP. And I love how you used the punch for your candle flames 😉

Tracie – What a fun, bright card! Now, I have to get the embossing folder 🙂 I love the background texture. Using the DSP for the candles is brilliant! Thanks so much for sharing.
