NC Demos July Blog Hop – Crazy Days of Summer
Hello and welcome to the latest NC Demos Blog Hop! We’re so glad you could join us. If you have already visited any of the other talented demonstrators, including the amazingly talented Jo Anne Hewin, you know that this month’s theme is all about summer!
I had initially planned on writing a post about the lazy summer days by the pool watching the kids splash and just enjoying the warm weather and the company of good friends and family. And while some of that has happened it has actually turned into the crazy days of summer for me. During the month of July we have had house guests for three weeks and my friend who helps at our office has been away for three of the weeks of July and then I was out of the office the one week she was here. We have also had lots of company and all of my stamping events got pushed to the last ten days of July. So I didn’t get to actually stamp for about 3 weeks and then this past week I have actually created a sampler, two cards for Coffee & Cards, two cards for my Techies group, two for the Hen Party Hostess Club and four cards for my Christmas in July Cute Cards Quick. So it has definitely been the crazy days of summer! Because of all the craziness I decided that instead of trying to write one big long blog post and give you lots of details I would just share some of the fun summer cards we have made at my June and July events. I have included a very basic product list this month., so if you have any questions about colors, accessories or how I did anything please comment below or send me an email. I will be happy to share more details!
This card was inspired by the Masking Technique Jo Anne Hewin shared on her blog a couple of months ago.
You can never go wrong with a High Tide note card. We made this one at my June Cute Cards Quick.
This was another card from June. I love the little school of fish from the Sea Side Textures Bundle!
This relaxing summer card was cased from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. My customers improved o it a bit by tearing the Crumb Cake piece and adding some direct to paper for the sand layer.
One last card from my June Cute Cards Quick. The lady from Beautiful You was colored with the Calypso Coral Blends and the background and water were created with Bermuda Bay ink and daubers.
Thank you so much for letting me share my summer cards. I hope you have been inspired to take a few minutes from your crazy summer days and make something fun, too! Don’t forget to take a minute and continue hopping along with us. Laurie Meier is up next and I know she has something amazing planned!
Please let me know if you have any questions about any of the projects or need to add any of these fun summer goodies to your stamping stash. I would love to help!
Happy Stamping!
